NORTH CHARLESTON, SC (WCSC) - North Charleston police are looking for a suspect after a gas station clerk was robbed at gunpoint early Wednesday.
According to North Charleston police spokesman Spencer Pryor, the stick-up happened at the Exxon at Remount Road and North Rhett Avenue just before 2 a.m.
Pryor said the clerk told police a man disguised with a black do-rag or stocking over his head and face walked into the store with a handgun and demanded money.
After receiving cash, the suspect fled the store.
The clerk described the suspect as a black male standing 5'9" to 6' tall, wearing a black long-sleeved t-shirt and dark blue jeans.
