Five men arrested for robberies, home invasion at mobile home park

BERKELEY COUNTY, SC (WCSC) - The Berkeley County Sheriff's Office has arrested five men in connection with a number of armed robberies and a home invasion at a mobile home park in Goose Creek.

Investigators say the arrests are in connection to a number of incidents that happened between Sept. 24 and Oct. 14 at the Sunrise Mobile Home Park on Red Bank Road.

Authorities say as a result of the arrests, the sheriff's office has cleared four armed robberies and a home invasion in the Red Bank Road area.

Deputies arrested the following people:

Nicholas Berry, 19, of Goose Creek who is charged with armed robbery, two counts of first-degree burglary, four counts of first-degree assault and battery and strong armed robbery with bonds totaling $665,445.

James Robert Reid, 21, of Goose Creek is charged with armed robbery with a deadly weapon and first-degree assault and battery with bonds set at $250,620.

Jahleel Jamal Simmons, 17, of Goose Creek is charged with two counts of armed robbery, four counts of first-degree assault and battery and first-degree burglary. His total bonds were $640,000.

George R. Cannon, 18, of North Charleston is charged with armed robbery with a deadly weapon, first-degree burglary, three counts of first-degree assault and battery and strong armed robbery with bonds set at $425,000.

Reginald Layette Williams, 30 of Goose Creek is charged with first-degree burglary and had bond set at $240,000.

All five suspects were locked up at the Hill-Finklea Detention Center.
