CHARLESTON, SC (WCSC)- Charleston police say bench warrants have been issued for a woman who skipped her court date after she was arrested for indecent exposure earlier this month.
Police say 46-year-old Josephine Gadsden was originally captured on August 11 after she was spotted walking down King St. in clothing that exposed her genitals and breasts.
According to a report, Gadsden is a known prostitute and was recognized by both name and sight due to prior incidents.
When officers confronted Gadsden around 12:46 a.m. that morning, they say Gadsden became angry and started yelling and screaming.
A report states that after giving Gadsden repeated warnings to calm down, officers arrested her despite her attempts to resist. She was taken to the Charleston County Detention Center and charged with resisting arrest and indecent exposure.
Gadsden missed her court date on August 16.
