Lancaster, SC – On 08-15-2012 at approximately 9:15 pm an unknown male suspect broke into the storage cage behind Wal-Mart located at 10048 Charlotte Hwy in Indian Land, SC. Once inside the storage cage the suspect carried away approximately 150 used car batteries valued at approximately $1350 dollars. The suspect can be seen in the attached photographs entering the cage. The suspect can also be seen wearing a yellow safety vest in what appears to be an attempt to make him look like an employee. The suspect’s vehicle which appears to be a dark colored SUV can also be seen.
The Sheriff’s Office has identified the suspect as Jeffrey Bernard McKnight (See attached bulletin) and issued a warrant charging him with Burglary. McKnight is currently wanted but has not been located.
