CHARLESTON COUNTY, SC (WCSC) - The South Carolina Highway Patrol says four people were injured after a 31-year-old woman, who was involved in a police pursuit, crashed her car into two other vehicles in Lincolnville Tuesday afternoon.
According to authorities, Sakinah Brown from St. Stephen was being pursued by the Dorchester County Sheriff's Office when she attempted to pass a Cadillac around 12:46 p.m. on Lincolnville Road.
Highway patrol officials say that Brown struck an SUV that was traveling in the opposite direction and then sideswiped the Cadillac.
An incident report states that following the accident, Brown attempted to leave the scene.
Three passengers in Brown's vehicle and the driver of the Cadillac were taken to the hospital with minor injuries.
The Dorchester County Sheriff's Office is continuing the investigation.
