Reward Increased to $13,000 in Marley Lion Murder

CHARLESTON, SC – Family and friends of Marley Lion and Crime Stoppers of the Lowcountry are teaming up to offer a $13,000 reward for information regarding the murder of Marley Lion.

In the early morning of Saturday, 6/16/12, at approximately 4:00 AM, the victim, Marley Lion, was shot multiple times at close range while in his vehicle at 1662 Savannah Hwy.

The suspect approached Marley’s vehicle from the direction of Yew St. and Evergreen St. (East). Marley’s vehicle alarm activated. Shortly thereafter the suspect shoots Marley multiple times with a handgun.

The suspect is described as a black male, wearing dark colored clothing. According to Marley, there was a second suspect, also a black male.

There have been no arrests to date in this case.

Family and friends of Marley Lion have offered an additional reward of $12,000 for information leading to the arrest of anyone involved in this crime. This reward will be paid in addition to the normal $1,000 Crime Stopper reward.

Donations to the reward fund can be made at (specify Marley Lion) or at any area Cres Com bank branch.

The reward is offered to any person who plays a significant role in providing information to Crime Stoppers that leads to an arrest in this murder.
