CHARLESTON, SC (WCSC) - The Charleston Police Department is searching for three suspects involved in a Friday night downtown robbery.

According to a police report, the victim says he was walking to his car on Pitt Street around 11:09 p.m. Friday night. When he got into his vehicle, the three suspects approached the car, opened his doors and demanded money.

The victim said he thought the suspect who opened his driver-side door had a gun because the suspect was pointing his hand at him in the shape of a firearm.

All three suspects were seen by the victim moments earlier when he was passing the intersection of Pitt Street and Wentworth street on the way to his car.

After giving the suspect at the driver-side door all the money in his wallet, the three suspects ran north down Pitt Street, said the victim.

The first suspect is described as being a black male between 6'00" and 6'02", 25-30 years old, 180-200 lbs and a thin build. He was wearing a dark t-shirt, jean shorts, and a pink/red baseball cap.

The second suspect is a black male between 5'06" and 5'09", 25-30 years old, 150-175 lbs, and has a medium build. He was also wearing a dark t-shirt and jean shorts, but had on a black baseball cap.

The third suspect is a black female between 5'04" and 5'06", 25-30 years old, 160-190 lbs and has a stocky build and shoulder length hair.

Surveillance footage from a nearby grocery store shows the three suspects walking down the street.

If you have any information regarding these suspects, call the Charleston Police Department at 843-720-2487.
