NORTH CHARLESTON, SC (WCSC) - An 11-year-old boy survives a shooting in North Charleston. North Charleston police officers says the boy was just walking in the street. It happened near the 1900 block of Clements Avenue.
Officers say two women were arguing in the street, when a male friend of one of the women pulled out a gun and fired several shots.
"Earlier I heard the fire crackers, I thought it was fire crackers, and when I come outside. I saw a bunch of police cars and EMS and fire trucks, further on down the street," said neighbor Edward Goss.
One of the bullets hit the 11-year-old. He was taken to MUSC with non-life threatening injuries. North Charleston police are still investigating.
