WEST ASHLEY, SC (WCSC) - Authorities are on the lookout for a James Island man accused of shooting at a man in West Ashley Thursday afternoon.
The Charleston Police Department has issued a warrant for second-degree assault and battery for 22-year-old Eric A. Wigfall.
Around 4:20 p.m., the victim was walking on Wantoot Boulevard when he was approached by a man armed with a handgun.
Police say a confrontation started and the suspect fired several shots at the victim.
Investigators say they were able to identify Wigfall as the gunman because of information and evidence gathered during the ongoing investigation.
