JOHNS ISLAND, SC (WCSC) - Investigators with the Charleston County Sheriff's Office have arrested a third suspect in a fatal Johns Island shooting.

Members of the sheriff's office and the U.S. Marshals Fugitive Task Force arrested 20-year-old Denzel Marqui Heyward in North Charleston on Wednesday at 12:30 p.m.

Heyward was wanted for the shooting death of Kadeem Ali Chambers and beating up a teen on Cynthia Avenue on May 16. Heyward is charged with murder, attempted murder, armed robbery and possession of a firearm during the commission of a violent crime.

On May 22, authorities also arrested Dashaun Livaughn Simmons who faces the same charges. The sheriff's office says Simmons turned himself in at the Al Cannon Detention Center.

Quansantrina Jaeureka Rivers was also arrested and charged on May 20 with accessory after the fact to murder, accessory after the fact to attempted murder and accessory after the fact to armed robbery.

According to the sheriff's office, investigators determined that Rivers drove Simmons and Heyward to the area near Cynthia Avenue prior to the shooting and assault. Investigators say she then waited for Simmons and Heyward to return from the scene before driving off.

The victims and the suspects had arranged to meet in the area prior to the shooting and assault, authorities say.
