BEAUFORT COUNTY, SC (WCSC) - Deputies are looking for a 23-year-old man accused of firing several gun shots following a domestic dispute on St. Helena.

The Beaufort County Sheriff's Office says a perimeter has been established in the area of Folly Rd, Seaside Road and Simmons Road as deputies are actively searching for Trehon Boone.

Deputies responded to the area of Folly Road and Seaside Road at 11:30 am in reference to a reported domestic dispute between Boone and his girlfriend.

The victim said that during the altercation, Boone fired a gun into the ground in her direction. An incident report states that as deputies approached, Boone fired several more shots into the air as he fled into the nearby woods.

The sheriff's office says Boone is considered to be armed and dangerous and should not be approached. Authorities are asking residents in the area to remain in their homes and immediately contact 911 to report any suspicious person.

Boone is a black male, approximately 6'02", 250 lbs. He was last seen wearing a blue shirt and blue jeans, but is believed to have since removed his shirt.
