JOHNS ISLAND, SC (WCSC) - The Charleston County Sheriff's Office is investigating after a man was found fatally shot and a teen severely beaten on Johns Island Wednesday night.
Deputies say they responded to the area of 3480 Cynthia Avenue at 11:35 p.m. Wednesday to find a black Mercedes had collided with a white pickup truck. Deputies said the driver in the Mercedes was found slumped over the wheel with an apparent gunshot wound.
Deputies did not say if they found anyone in the white pickup truck.
The victim was taken to MUSC, where he died a short time later. He has not been identified.
Officials also said the victim had a 17-year-old brother who was severely beaten during the incident. He is being treated for injuries at MUSC, deputies said.
Deputies say no suspects have been identified.
