NORTH CHARLESTON, SC (WCSC) - The North Charleston Police Department is investigating a robbery that occurred Saturday evening at the Walgreens on Dorchester Road in North Charleston.
Police say at around 7:30 p.m. a man walked up to the pharmacist and handed them a note demanding painkillers. The suspect also showed a handgun that was in his waistband.
According to authorities the pharmacist gave the suspect Oxycontin and the suspect then walked out of the front door.
The suspect is described as a white male about 6' to 6-2' in height with red hair and freckles. He was last seen wearing blue jeans, a dark fill length jacket and an olive greenish blue ball cap with a white emblem on the front.
