CHARLESTON, SC (WCSC) - Charleston City Police is looking for a man they say choked a woman near King Street in Downtown Charleston.
Officers say a 24-year-old woman was walking near the railroad tracks near the Recovery Room Bar, when an unknown man came up to her and started making small talk. During that time the suspect grabbed the woman and choked her until she passed out.
Authorities say the victim woke up in a nearby wooded area with the suspect on over yelling. The victim struck the suspect several times until he fled the area.
Police describes the suspects as a black man at least 6 feet tall in his 40's. He was last seen wearing a dark hoodie with writing on it and possible has injuries on his face from being punched and scratched.
