COLLETON COUNTY, SC (WCSC) - Deputies are looking for a teenager accused of shooting at a crowd of people near Walterboro on Wednesday.
The Colleton County Sheriff's Office is looking for 19-year-old DeShawn Trevell "Shawney" Brown wanted for a shooting near the intersection of Pansy and Godwin streets.
Investigators say Brown shot several times towards a group of five people. No one was hit by the gunfire and the suspect fled the area and is believed to be in a light colored, possibly silver Ford Fusion.
According to investigators, the suspect should be considered armed and dangerous. Deputies say the suspect and victim knew each other and the motive for the shooting may have been in reference to a disagreement from earlier on Wednesday.
The weapon used in the shooting has not been recovered and may still be in the possession of the suspect, authorities say.
If you know of the location of the suspect or have information about the shooting, contact the Colleton County Sheriff's Office at (843) 549-2211 or call Crime Stoppers at 1-888-CRIME-SC.
