CHARLESTON, SC (WCSC) - Search crews with the Charleston County Sheriff's Office have resumed searching for missing woman Gayle McCaffrey on Thursday.
A mobile crime scene unit has been set up in the Bi-Lo shopping center on Bees Ferry Road, near Highway 61.
Major Jim Brady said the search is not the result of a tip. He says investigators are just trying to narrow possibilities.
A helicopter is being used today along with all-terrain vehicles and foot searchers.
One area of focus is off Highway 61 near Middleton Place. Search crews are expected to be covering a large amount of territory today.
McCaffrey has not been seen since Mar. 17, when her husband told deputies they got into a fight.
