SUMMERVILLE, SC (WCSC) - The Dorchester County coroner says the man found dead in a Summerville home on Friday was murdered.
Coroner Chris Nisbet says the victim on Hope Drive is a 38-year-old man.
According to authorities, a neighbor came to visit and found the body inside.
"I was just feeling shocked and my gosh what happened just terror," said neighbor Shanna Harbison.
Harbison did not find the body, but said she knew the man that lived there.
"He's very nice. Every time I would leave the house to go out somewhere, he would always be in his front yard saying 'Hi and How are you,'" Harbison said.
The Dorchester County Sheriff's Office is investigating. No arrests have been made.
