SUMMERVILLE, SC (WCSC) - Investigators say a 23-year-old suspected drug dealer said that he would "shoot someone up" if deputies or U.S. Marshal agents returned to his house.

The Charleston County Sheriff's Office arrested Michael D. Smith Thursday morning. Smith is wanted for criminal domestic violence of a high and aggravated nature, failure to stop for blue lights, possession with intent to distribute marijuana and cocaine.

It all started when the U.S. Marshals Fugitive Task Force received an anonymous tip that Smith was at a home on Richardson Drive. The U.S. Marshals, sheriff's office and Lincoln Police Department responded to the home.

When authorities knocked on the door and announced that they were police, Smith said, "What did I do?"

U.S. Marshals then told Smith to come out. According to an incident report, Smith delayed coming to the door and after 20 minutes surrendered.

The sheriff's office says that as Smith was being transported to jail, he said,"If y'all come to my house again, I am going to shoot someone up!"

Investigators say there were no weapons found in Smith's house. According to the sheriff's office, Smith has an extensive criminal history and does have a tendency towards violent acts.

Police say Smith is accused of mashing a woman's face in March with his hands until the victim's nose started bleeding. He is also suspected in a March 19 incident, where investigators say Smith almost struck another vehicle and refused to stop for law enforcement.

In that incident, authorities say Smith left the vehicle while it was still in motion. According to an affidavit, as Smith was leaving his vehicle he threw out a bud light beer, a clear plastic baggie containing 5 grams of cocaine base and other drugs. Deputies say Smith's moving vehicle then hit a parked car.
