NORTH CHARLESTON, SC (WCSC) - Authorities say a teen is in serious condition after an officer involved shooting occurred Sunday afternoon in North Charleston.
Officers were called out in reference to shots fired in the Ferndale neighborhood on Dalton and Emden Street involving several black men. An officer who was enroute to the location encountered two black men, one with dread locks walking in the area of Gaynor Avenue and Hock Street.

The State Law Enforcement Division has been called out to investigate this shooting. The officer involved in this shooting has been placed on administrative duties pending SLED's investigation.
