NORTH CHARLESTON, SC (WCSC) - Officials with the North Charleston Police Department say they have arrested a 23-year-old man accused of shooting a man who was driving on Ashley Phosphate Road Friday afternoon.
Investigators say they arrested Oral Wigfall of Huger, SC at the Enterprise Rental Car at the Charleston International Airport around 5:50 p.m. Wigfall is charged with two counts of attempted murder.
At 3:27 p.m., officers responded to the Citgo gas station on Ashley Phosphate Road in reference to a shooting and found the victim suffering from a gunshot wound to his neck.
The victim was then transported to MUSC. Witnesses say they saw a black Chevrolet Camaro leaving the scene of the shooting.
According to a police report, the suspect's vehicle, a black Chevrolet Camaro, was recovered as well.
