CHARLESTON, SC (WCSC) -

Charleston Police are looking for 47 year old Veronica Witherspoon.

Witherspoon is wanted on a charge of property crime enhancement in connection with the theft of a video game console from a Johns Island pharmacy in January, 2011.

Police say Witherspoon was caught on surveillance cameras taking the console out of the package before running out of the store.

She dropped her photo identification card outside, and that's how officers were able to identify her, according to investigators.

"When she dropped the i.d. card, in this particular case, the following week she went to get another i.d. card," said Charleston Police Corporal Fred Bowie.

Witherspoon has more than 30 convictions on her criminal record.

"Tells you she's a professional criminal. It also tells you she spends a lot of time trying to track her down," Bowie said. Basically, she's a real troublemaker. She consumes a lot of police time."

Witherspoon stands 5'0" and weighs about 100 lbs.

Bowie says Witherspoon also has a criminal history in Beaufort and Colleton counties and may be hiding out in Colleton County.
