CHARLESTON COUNTY, SC (WCSC) - South Carolina Probation and Parole agents in Charleston County are looking for Vanessa Amber Linnen.

Linnen, 26 is wanted for a probation violation after being convicted of financial identity fraud.

"Ms. Linnen is in trouble simply because she stopped coming to see us," said Agent In Charge Mitchell Ray.

Ray said Linnen last reported to probation and parole in October, 2009.

"She was basically on track, ready to complete the terms of her supervision and she stopped coming in," he explained. "She just dropped the ball. It's like she's right at the goal line and just didn't take it over."

Ray said his agency is not interested in putting Linnen in prison. He just wants her to come in, pay her fines and start reporting to her probation officer.

"I think she's scared. I want to try to reach out to this young lady to try to work with her the best way we can," Ray said. "We feel she's here and maybe she's just afraid to come in, so we're asking her family to convince her to turn herself into us.

"Linnen stands 5'6" and weighs about 240 lbs.
