Witnesses said a white male wearing a garnet and white-colored South Carolina Gamecock jacket, an orange t-shirt, khaki pants, tennis shoes, and aviator-style sunglasses walked up to the register and robbed the clerk at gunpoint.
The store clerk told deputies the man, who appeared to be between 30 and 50 years old with reddish hair, brandished a blue-handed pistol during the robbery. Deputies said they recovered the Gamecocks jacket in the roadway of a nearby residential street.
