NORTH CHARLESTON, SC (WCSC)- North Charleston police are trying to identify a woman who reportedly fired a gun shot during an early Tuesday morning armed robbery in a mobile home park off Highway 78.

Spencer Pryor with the North Charleston Police Department said officers responded to Lot 35 of the Plantation Acres Mobile Home Community at 9496 Highway 78 around 1 a.m. after receiving reports of an armed robbery.

The victim told police he opened his front door after hearing a knock and saw a white female appearing to be in her early 20s pointing a gun at him demanding his money. The victim said she threatened to shoot him, then fired one shot into the floor near the front door before fleeing in a gray or silver Mitsubishi Eclipse.

The victim said nothing was taken from him. He told police the suspect stood about 5'5" and was thinly built with shoulder-length blond hair. She was reportedly wearing blue jean shorts and a black, hooded sweatshirt.
