COLLETON COUNTY, SC (WCSC) - The Colleton County Sheriff's Office is investigating a club shooting that happened early Sunday morning near Catholic Hill in Colleton County.
Deputies say they were called out to Club Manhatten by security officers who stated that they needed help with some people who were causing a problem. When authorities arrived on the scene they found a security officer with a gunshot wound in the leg.
The security officers told deputies that they had exchanged gun fire with two suspects as they were leaving the club in a vehicle. Sheriff's deputies were able to catch up the suspects on Rivers Street and found one of the suspects with a gunshot wound.
The suspect was taken to Colleton Regional Hospital and later flown to an area hospital in Charleston. Authorities say the suspect is in stable condition. The security officer was also taken to the hospital and is in good condition.
Charges are pending against the suspects.
The incident remains under investigation with the Colleton County Sheriff's Office.
