NORTH CHARLESTON, SC (WCSC) - North Charleston police are investigating a robbery that resulted in one person being shot in the arm Sunday night.
Officers responded to Ranger Drive after reports of a robbery around 7:34 p.m. When officers arrived, they found a male victim suffering from a single gunshot wound to the left arm. The man was transported to MUSC for treatment.
The victim told police that he was walking to the store when he was approached by a male suspect who demanded his belongings and began to check his pockets.
The victim then began to struggle with the suspect and the fired a single shot from a black handgun, according to the victim. The suspect then fled down Alabama Drive.
Officers have not located the suspect. He is described as a black male about 25 or 26 years old. He is about 5'8" to 5'10" and weighs approximately 150 pounds. He has a bald head and was wearing a black jacket and blue jeans.
