Police look for man accused of sexually assaulting, beating ex-girlfriend

GOOSE CREEK, SC (WCSC) - The Goose Creek Police Department is looking for a suspect they say severely beat and sexually assaulted his ex-girlfriend early Sunday morning.

Police says 37-year-old Steven Lee Morgan forced his way into the victim's house at 4 a.m. in the Ryan Creek Subdivision. Authorities say Morgan severely beat the victim and then sexually assaulted her.

The victim was taken to MUSC with serious injuries.

Investigators say they are trying to locate Morgan. He was last seen armed with a knife when he took the victim's 1998 champagne colored Ford F-150 pick-up truck with a license plate GE-1221.

Police say Morgan is considered armed and dangerous and was last known to live in the state of Georgia. Morgan is being charged with first degree burglary and additional warrants will be obtained for kidnapping, first degree criminal sexual conduct, attempted murder and possession of a weapon during a violent crime.
