NORTH CHARLESTON, SC (WCSC) - An overnight shooting has injured one person in North Charleston. It happened just after midnight Friday, outside a house on West Surrey Drive, off of Dorchester Road.
North Charleston police tell us they arrived on scene to find a man shot, inside his car, in the back of a house.
The victim told officers he and a woman pulled up to her house and parked the car.
As they were about to exit, an unknown suspect ran up on them and fired shots at the car.
The man then ran to store in the 3900 Block of Dorchester Road for help.
Police tell us they found 6 shells on the ground a few feet from the car.
The victim was taken to MUSC, with non-life threatening injuries. Police have not made any arrests.
