WEST ASHLEY, SC (WCSC) - Three people have been arrested after narcotics agents with the Charleston County Sheriff's Office busted two meth labs Monday morning in West Ashley.
Authorities have charged 30-year-old Joseph McLaughlin, 43-year-old Patrick M. D'Angelo and 28-year-old Heather M. Moreland with manufacturing methamphetamine. McLaughlin was also charged with possession with intent to distribute marijuana.
On 7 a.m. on Monday, the sheriff's office served a warrant at a home on Lord Calvert Drive as part of a drug investigation. Investigators say they found equipment and precursors to manufacturing methamphetamines along with a quantity of marijuana.
McLaughlin was arrested as part of the investigation on Lord Calvert Drive.
An hour later, a second search warrant was served at a home on Wappoo Road where detectives also located precursors to manufacturing methamphetamines. D'Angelo and Moreland were arrested in this case.
