NORTH CHARLESTON, SC (WCSC) - North Charleston police are looking for several suspects wanted for forcing their way into an apartment armed with guns early Wednesday morning looking for money.
Police officers responded to 1960 Pine Forest Dr. in St. Charles Place in response to a home invasion.
The victim told police that she was in bed with her daughter when she heard a knock on the front door and a male voice, who she thought was her boyfriend. The victim unlocked the dead bolt and before she could open the door several male suspects forced their way in.
Inside the apartment, one of the suspects, armed with a handgun, grabbed the victim by the hair and asked "Where is the money?" According to police, the other suspects began ransacking the apartment.
The suspects fled the home and the victim told police that she did not know if anything was stolen.
The incident remains under investigation.
