NORTH CHARLESTON, SC (WCSC) -
North Charleston police are looking for who's responsible for firing shots at another car, early Friday morning on Cross County Road.
Officers say it started around 2:30am when they heard gunfire and saw several vehicles speeding down the road toward Dorchester Rd.
One of the vehicles, a Dodge Challenger, sped past officers and pulled into a driveway at the Wedgewood Apartments.
Officers say the passenger jumped from the car, took off toward Lambs Rd., and is still on the run.
The driver stayed with car and was detained. He told police he was giving the passenger a ride home from a nearby nightclub and was stopped at the red light when he heard shots.
The driver's car was hit several times. Police say the other cars involved may have been a white SUV or pickup truck.
No one was injured and the incident is still under investigation.
