MOUNT PLEASANT, SC (WCSC) - The Mount Pleasant Police Department has made two arrests in connection to the armed robbery and shooting that occurred Saturday morning at the McDonald's at Ironclad Alley.
According to the report, 20-year-old Timothy D. Taylor of Awendaw was arrested and charged with armed robbery.
The second suspect, 27-year-old Joseph B. Whiteside Jr. of McClellanville was taken into custody with the assistance of the Charleston County Sheriff's Department SWAT Team. Whiteside is also being charged with armed robbery and attempted murder.
Authorities say the manager of the store was shot, but is in good condition.
