CHARLESTON, SC - A woman was robbed by a masked gunman Thursday outside a bank on Sam Rittenberg Boulevard, according to a Charleston police report.
At 8:52 a.m., police were dispatched to the BB&T branch at 1962 Sam Rittenberg, where a 46-year-old North Charleston woman told officers that a man pulled up next to her as she was getting out of her car and pointed a gun at her, demanding that she turn over a bag that contained an undisclosed amount of cash, the report said.
The woman, who was an employee of a nearby discount store, tossed the bag into the man's car and he drove away. The money belonged to her employer, the report said.
The victim said she did not see the robber's face because he was wearing a hoodie or black cloth over his face.
No arrests were made and no suspect description was provided.
Anyone with information about the robbery is asked to call police at 577-7434 or Crime Stoppers at 554-1111.
