SUMMERVILLE, SC - Summerville police were asking the public for help in locating a man wanted in connection with a shooting Thursday at a mobile home park.
Arrest warrants have been issued charging Shawn Maurice Kitt, 22, with attempted murder, possession of a firearm during the commission of a violent crime and possession of a firearm by a convicted felon, according to police Capt. Jon Rogers.
Kitt is accused of shooting a man who was driving away from the South Main Mobile Home Park about 10 a.m. after the two had been in an argument, police said. Several schools in the area were temporarily locked down after the shooting.
The shooting victim, whose identity was not released, was doing well, Rogers said Friday.
Kitt is known to frequent the Summerville area and should be considered armed and dangerous, Rogers said.
