MT. PLEASANT, SC (WCSC) -
More details have been released in the death of a Mt. Pleasant man who was found lying in his front yard with a half-empty bottle of whisky beside him last month.

Kenneth Allen Dyer, 33, is charged with murdering Robert M. Weir, on June 21. According to an affidavit, Dyer strangled Weir to death at his home on Palmetto Hall Boulevard in the Dunes West neighborhood.

According to a court affidavit, Weir was in the company of an unnamed witness just after midnight on June 21. After the witness left Weir's house, Dyer confronted Weir and began arguing with him over money owed to Diamond's Escort Service. Dyer and Weir were arguing in the front yard before Dyer placed him in a choke hold, the affidavit states.

Dyer was arrested Saturday after US Marshals tracked him to Conway last weekend. Mt. Pleasant police also arrested 22-year-old Shara Dawn Greene and charged her with being an accessory after the fact of murder.

Greene was allegedly present at the time of the murder and witnesses Dyer strangle Weird, according to a court affidavit. The affidavit also states that Greene watched Dyer either destroy or attempt to destroy evidence and because she did not come forward with information about the murder, she was charged.

Both suspects are being lodged at the Charleston County Jail.
