NORTH CHARLESTON, SC (WCSC) - A North Charleston narcotics investigation resulted in nine arrests Wednesday.
Police were serving warrants as a part of "Operation Macon it Right." The investigation led police to three separate residences in the Chicora-Cherokee area.
Police found cocaine base and marijuana in an apartment at 3317 Florida Avenue. Police made four arrests on the scene.
Twana McBeth, 50, was charged with simple possession of marijuana. Shane Barnwell, 27, was charged with possession of cocaine base. Sanquan Fyall, 25, was arrested on warrants for distribution of cocaine base. Kristin Deon Bolger, 23, was charged with possession with the intent to distribute heroin.
Police also searched a house at 1919 English Street. They discovered items typically used to package and weigh illegal drugs along with cocaine, marijuana, and handguns.
Police charged Gerald Douglas, 31, and Raymond Eady, 49, with possession of cocaine.
Operation Macon it Right also led to an arrest at 1911 Norwood Street. Police arrested Ricky Swinton, 25, on an outstanding warrant for distribution of cocaine base.
Operation Macon it Right is part of the North Charleston Police Department's initiative to cut down crime and the sale of illegal drugs in the Chicora-Cherokee neighborhood.
