NORTH CHARLESTON, SC (WCSC) - North Charleston Police are investigating a shooting that seriously injured one person Tuesday night.
Officers say the shooting happened just before midnight Tuesday on Bonds Wilson Avenue, which is off East Montague Avenue in North Charleston.
The victim told police that he was walking along Bonds Wilson Drive at Letter Street when he heard shots and then heard a car leave the area. He ran to the house on the corner where the residents called for help. The victim says he could not describe the car.
EMS responded and transported the victim to MUSC with a bullet wound to the buttocks. There is no word on his condition.
North Charleston Police do not have any suspects at this time. The cause of the shooting has not been determined.
