WEST ASHLEY, SC (WCSC) - Police arrested a 25-year-old man accused of two armed robberies in West Ashley.
The Charleston Police Department charged Kevin Devon Roberts with two counts of armed robbery and possession of a firearm during the commission of a violent crime.
Roberts was locked up at the Charleston County Detention Center.
On Feb. 5 at 1205 Ashley River Road, a man was robbed of his money, two cell phones, jewelry and his car keys.
Roberts is also the second suspect arrested in the June 24 Tall Oak armed robbery. Cornelius Robert Jenkins Jr., 20, was arrested on July 1 and charged with armed robbery. Jenkins was being held in the Charleston County Detention Center.
That robbery occurred around 11:45 p.m. as the victim walked to his car. He was approached from behind by a man armed with a handgun, who robbed him of his cellular telephone and his wallet.
The investigation is ongoing.
