CHARLESTON, SC - Charleston police were looking for a man who robbed a West Ashley pizzeria at gunpoint Saturday.
At 10:25 p.m., police were called to Andolini's Pizza at 1117 Savannah Highway for a reported armed robbery, according to an incident report.
A manager told police a man walked in, struck one employee in the stomach and threw him to the floor, pointed a pistol at another employee and ordered him to lie on the ground, then forced the manager to open the safe. A customer fled as the robber entered, the report said.
The robber -- described as a black male, 20 to 25 years old, wearing a black, hooded, long-sleeved shirt, black pants, gloves and a cloth over his face -- ran out the back and into a waiting vehicle, the report said.
