NORTH CHARLESTON, SC (WCSC) - Police are looking for a man who robbed a taxi car driver in North Charleston early Tuesday morning.
Shortly after 7 a.m. this morning officers responded to Delta Street in reference to a robbery.
Upon arrival, the victim said he was dispatched to pick up a fare at Delta Street in the apartment complex.
He said when he pulled up to the apartments, a black male about 5'5" with a slim build wearing all black jumped in the back seat of his car.
Police said that the subject pulled out a handgun and pointed it at the victim and demanded all his money, wallet and cell phone.
Once the victim gave the subject all the items, the subject fled on foot, towards Butler Street, police said.
The incident remains under investigation.
