,br/>GOOSE CREEK, SC (WCSC) - The Berkeley County Sheriff's Office says they are on the on the lookout for a 25-year-old man who was shot after he ran over a security guard at a parking lot.
Authorities are searching for Demar Devon Bacon of North Charleston. Bacon was transported to the hospital after he was shot in the chest at the Kamauri's Sports Bar & Grill around 2 a.m. Thursday. According to investigators, Bacon refused to cooperated with the investigation and checked himself out of the hospital.
The sheriff's office says an investigation revealed that Bacon used his car to strike bar's security guard. Officials say that the 24-year-old security guard then fired his gun through the windshield of the vehicle striking Bacon in the chest.
According to investigators, when deputies arrived at the parking lot they found the security guard detaining Bacon.
Bacon is wanted for attempted murder, unlawful carrying of a handgun, unlawful possession of a handgun by a convicted felon, possession of a stolen firearm, possession of cocaine, possession of cocaine base, possession with intent to distribute marijuana within a half mile of a school, possession with intent to distribute marijuana and possession of MDMA (ecstasy).
