SUMMERVILLE, SC (WCSC) - The Dorchester County Sheriff's Office says investigators discovered a meth lab during a check on two children's welfare in Summerville.
Authorities charged 28-year-old Curtis Allen Salisbury and 25-year-old Nichole Leigh Frame with manufacturing methamphetamine with other charges pending.
On Tuesday, deputies responded to a home in the Calomet Valley subdivision to assist in a welfare check for some minor children. When deputies arrived, they say they found what appeared to be materials used in the manufacture of methamphetamine.
A narcotics unit was called and after obtaining search warrants, entered two buildings and discovered finished product and several items used in the production of the drug.
Two minor children were taken into protective custody. According to investigators, both Frame and Salisbury have a history of prior drug charges.
