HORRY COUNTY, SC (WMBF) – The Horry County Police Department is asking for the public's help in locating a 12-year-old girl who reportedly went missing Sunday afternoon.
Lt. Jamie Debari, spokesman for the Horry County Police Department, said McCarrie C. Blankenship was last seen around 4 p.m. Sunday afternoon at the intersection of Loop Road and Highway 366 in the Loris area.
Blankenship was last seen wearing a white sundress with bows on both shoulders and blue shorts. She was seen carrying a pink and white backpack.
Debari said Blankenship had threatened to run away on Saturday when she became upset about a recent move.
She is described as standing 5'5" and weighs around 110 pounds with blue eyes and blonde hair.
Anyone with information as to the whereabouts of Blankenship is asked to call the Horry County Police Department at 843-915-8345.
