CHARLESTON, SC - Police have arrested one of the two men accused of robbing a downtown grocery store Monday night.
The Charleston Police Department apprehended 18-year-old Norman Tiashawn Pringle on Hanover Street around 3:30 p.m. on Tuesday.
He is charged with armed robbery.
Pringle's unidentified accomplice is described as a black male, 5'8" to 5'10", weighing 150 to 160 lbs, wearing a t-shirt and carrying a dark semi-automatic handgun.
Police responded to the O&M Grocery store on 565 Meeting Street in reference to a robbery.
The victim told officers that two black males quickly entered the store. According to the victim, one of the suspects then took out a gun and put it to the victim's head.
The second suspect then walked behind the counter and took money from the cash register and six packs of Newport cigarettes. Authorities say the armed suspect then struck the victim in the head with the pistol.
