CHARLESTON, SC (WCSC) - Charleston and North Charleston police are investigating two gas station armed robberies that happened within six hours of each other.
The first happened Tuesday around 8:20 p.m. at 6923 Rivers Avenue at the Kangaroo gas station in North Charleston.
According to the store clerk, two men came in the store demanding money. One suspect was armed with a knife.
The clerk complied, and the suspects fled with an undetermined amount of money. No one was hurt in the crime.
Hours later, around 2:00 Wednesday morning, Charleston police say the Kangaroo gas station at the intersection of Wappoo Rd. and Highway 17 was robbed.
Officers say two suspects robbed the clerk and several customers inside the store at the time. Both robbers had their faces covered.
So far, no arrests have been made in either case. Right now, officers do not believe these two incidents are related.
