CHARLESTON COUNTY, SC (WCSC) - South Carolina Probation and Parole agents in Charleston County are looking for 24 year old Antonio Benjamin.
Benjamin is wanted for a parole violation after he failed to report to his parole officer when he was released from prison last year.
"Mr. Benjamin never reported to the office. He got released from the Department of Corrections, took off for parts unknown," said agent in charge Mitchell Ray.
Agents have been looking for Benjamin since June of last year. Authorities have no idea where he may be.
"He is a dangerous individual. He does have a long criminal history with some violent tendencies in his criminal past," said Ray.
Benjamin was sent to prison after violating probation on a cocaine conviction. He's facing up to another year in prison when he's captured.
"These type of offenders, the ones that run from supervision totally and completely, these are the type of people we need to bring back in the criminal justice system," said Ray.
Benjamin stands 6'2" and weighs about 165 lbs.
Parole agents say he has family in the Charleston area.
