3 more sought in connection to North Charleston murder

NORTH CHARLESTON, SC - North Charleston police have issued three murder warrants and arrested two people in connection with a shooting death early Friday outside the Fuel Express on Rivers Avenue, according to police spokesman Spencer Pryor.

Killed was 25-year-old Jeu Roberlo Mendez, the Charleston County Coroner's Office said.

At 2 a.m. Friday, officers responded to the Fuel Express at 5995 Rivers in reference to a fight and shots fired, a news release states. Officers arriving on scene found Mendez on the ground suffering from a gunshot wound. He later was pronounced dead at the scene.

Detectives have identified four men and one woman wanted in the shooting.

Murder warrants have been issued for 27-year-old Luis Angel Tellez Mercado and 25-year-old Abelardo Solento-Martinez. Police also issued a warrant for 36-year-old Martha Rameriez, also known as Martha Castillo.

On Friday evening, investigators arrested two 21-year-old males, Edgar Diego and Jose Efrain Dzib, who are charged with accessory after the fact of murder. They were expected to appear in bond court late Saturday.
