NORTH CHARLESTON, SC - On June 23, 2009, at about 3:30pm, North Charleston Police responded to 2177 Northwoods Blvd (Candlewood Suites) in reference to a robbery.

Initial information gathered at the scene indicated that a white male, approximately 5'9", came into the front lobby and told the employees at the front counter that he had a gun and demanded money.

Employees handed over cash and the suspect left on foot out of the front lobby doors. The suspect was described as wearing a hoodie that was white on the front and back, dark blue hood and sleeves with "South Pole" on it, and another shirt underneath, dark sunglasses and dark pants.

Police received information that the suspect was spotted at the Raceway on Ashley Phosphate Road. Surveillance video from the convenience store (pictured at right) shows the suspect went inside and bought a drink, then left on foot towards the Motel 6.

At this time, Investigators believe that the suspect is also responsible for the robbery of Wendy’s on Ashley Phosphate Road and the Best Western Hotel on Prospect Street on Monday.
